Looking for fun things to do in Prince Edward County? Look no further.

1. 1. Enjoy a wood-oven pizza and a glass of wine in a vineyard. Our faves: Norman Hardie, Hillier Creek Estates and Terracello.
   2. Take a Sip and Cycle bike tour of some of the County’s best wineries or breweries with The County Wine Tours, including guided vineyard or brewery tours and tastings.
   3. Bike or hike the Millenium Trail, a 49 km trail through Prince Edward County.
   4. Pack a picnic and head to a vineyard or a beach..or better yet, order the Picnic Experience from Eat, Play, Love (served in a vintage picnic basket no less) and enjoy gourmet food and a map of secret picnic locations.
   5. Get your mini-putt on at Caddy Shack Mini Golf near Sandbanks.
   6. Discover the beer. Go on a self-guided tour of the County’s many craft breweries. Make sure to visit: Barley Days, Parsons Brewery, The County Road Beer Co., 555 and Prince Eddy’s Brewing Company.
   7. Get some theatre culture by taking in one of the plays at the Festival Players of Prince Edward County, every August in Wellington.
   8. Do the Arts Trail: Enjoy the County’s artistic side by visiting the 20 official stops on the Arts Trail….from galleries to studios to pottery barns.
   9. See a movie. Make like it’s 1960 and catch a movie at the drive-in! Picton is home to the Mustang Drive-in, a modern drive-in movie theatre open during the summer months.

   10. Hit the beach! Whether it’s one of Sandbank Provincial Park’s three beaches or North Beach Provincial Beach, feel the soft sand between your toes.
   11. Saddle up and ride a horse through the trails at Diamond J Ranch or Tanglewood Farm and Equestrian Centre. No experience necessary and fun for all ages.
   12. Eat cheese. Lots and lots of cheese.Visit the County’s best cheese producers: Fifth Town Artisan Cheese Co near Waupoos and Black River Cheese in Milford. Also: grab some Maple Dale cheese curds, available throughout the County.
   13. Catch some of the more than 350 bird species that have been identified in PEC at the Prince Edward Bird Point Observatory. Other good birding areas: Point Petre, Salmon Point, West Point and Huyck’s Point.
   14. Waterpark fun. Don the kids in their swimsuits and head to Westlake Willy Waterpark for waterslides and bouncy castle fun.
   15. Visit the County’s wineries in style..in a horse-drawn carriage! Public trolley tours and private carriage rides from Wellington are available with The County Carriage Co.
   16. Grab your clubs and head to one of PEC’s golf courses. There’s the Picton Golf & Country Club and Wellington on the Lake Golf Course, the Barcoven Golf Club in Carrying Place and several other golfing areas throughout the Quinte area.
   17. Shop ‘til you drop. Visit the charming shops on Main Street in Bloomfield and Picton for unique clothing boutiques, vintage shops and home stores.
   18. Charter a yacht or join a public sunset cruise with County Sailing Adventures.
   19. See the Picton Harbour from a pontoon boat, with Picton Harbour Pontoon Tours. The guided tours of historical sights, shallow coves and waterfalls lasts 90 minutes.
   20. Go fishing. The County has plenty of prime fishing spots, so grab your gear and head to East Lake, West Lake, Lake Consecon or the Bay of Quinte. Plan to hook walleye, pike, bass. Check out this map for other fishing areas in PEC.
   21. Grab your canoe or kayak and head to West Lake, East Lake, the Black River in Milford or North Beach Provincial Park.
   22. Relax. Settle into the latest bestseller and head to one of the local coffee shops for a cup of java. 
   23. Have a little adventure. Try wakeboarding, kitesurfing or paddleboarding or rent a flyboard, sea-doo or jetskis at Westlake Watersport Rentals near Sandbanks.
   24. Winter fun. Visiting the county in the winter? Don’t fret, there’s plenty to do. Hit the cross-country ski trails at Sandbanks (10 km of trails), go ice fishing on the Bay of Quinte or enjoy an outdoor skate at Wellington’s outdoor rink.
   25. Hit a museum. The County is rich with history and you can learn more about its Loyalist past by visiting the various museums and historical hot spots. Read more about them here.
   26. Eat, eat and eat some more. Have brunch at the Drake Devonshire in Wellington, lunch at the Agrarian in Bloomfield and dine at Portabella Bistro in Picton. 
   27. Leave your cares behind with a visit to the spa. Note: there aren’t enough spas in the County to meet the demand, so advance reservations are a must. We love Bloomfield Beauty Co. 
   28. Pick your own apples, blueberries, raspberries, tomatoes and more at one of the local farms. Our picks: Campbell’s Orchards, the Blueberry Patch and Little Highbush Blueberries.  
   29. Take in one of PEC’s Farmer’s Markets: the Wellington Farmer’s Market (Saturday mornings), the Agrarian Farmer’s Market in Bloomfield (Sundays) or the Picton Sunday market (Picton). During the week, visit one of the roadside farm stands for fresh produce (we love Hagerman Farms outside of Picton).

   31. See the wonders of Lake on the Mountain, where a 60 metre drop separates the Bay of Quinte and the Lake on the Mountain. While you’re there, grab a beer at the Lake on the Mountain Brewery.
   32. Take in a movie or live event at Picton’s Regent Theatre, a retro-cool art deco movie house in the heart of Picton.
   33. Who wants ice cream? We all want ice cream! Grab a cone of artisanal ice cream from one of the County’s many ice cream parlours. Our fave: Slickers in Bloomfield and Picton. 
   34. Taste the ciders! Prince Edward County is home to some amazing cideries..check out the County Cider Company in Waupoos, Clafeld Fruit Winery & Cider House and Apple Falls Cider Co (non-alcoholic ciders).
   35. Catch some live music at one of the County’s pubs or lounges. We love The Stashe on Main Piano Lounge (live music Thursday-Saturday in the summer), the County Canteen (with music on the weekends including Sunday afternoon sessions) and the Acoustic Grill (most days during the summer and almost always on weekends throughout the year).
   36. Check out the sights: from the lighthouses in Wellington to Bird House City in Picton to the historical CFB Picton (now the Picton airport).
   37. Get one with nature and encounter wildlife at one of the area’s 23 conservation sites. Read all about them here.
   38. Put on your dancing shoes and head to the Hayloft Dancehall, from the May long weekend to Halloween. With special live performances and Saturday barn dances, it’s THE place to party in PEC.
   39. Join a cooking class at the Waring House Cookery School. Learn to cook farm-to-table or a variety of international flavours. Book early – these classes sell out fast.
   40. Hit up a festival! PEC is ground-zero for some of Ontario’s best festivals, from the Lavender Festival to the various music festivals to Maple in the County. 
   41. Take in an alfresco yoga class at Sandbanks Winery (Sundays in the summer), a studio or vineyard class at Three Dog Winery (Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays). Sometimes, Shed Chetwyn Farms hosts yoga with alpacas too. Namaste.
