2. Play Paintball in a Haunted Former Hospital
Are the rumours true? PRZ Paintball is a 100,000 square foot paintball arena housed in a creepy former hospital in Picton that has long been rumoured to be haunted. Reports of cold spots, random screams and glowing orbs have intrigued paranormal investigators for years. There are scheduled public games and the opportunity to book the whole venue for a party. 3. Take a Cooking Class in PEC
With Prince Edward County quickly becoming a serious foodie destination, it should come as no surprise that there’s a burgeoning cooking school scene. Here are some of our favourites:
From the Farm Cooking School
Get cooking in an 1830’s farmhouse! From the Farm has a variety of cooking classes covering all the important foodie bases: Thai, Indian, French, Vietnamese, Tuscan and more. Included in the $150 fee is a farm tour/experience, hands-on cooking class, lunch and sampling of local wines. There are all-day culinary adventures and private cooking classes available too. The Waring House Cookery School
The Waring House offers 2 kinds of cooking classes: Thursday classes with a sit-down dinner and wine ($95) and Sunday classes with a lighter meal ($75). Angelo Bean Cooking School
Want to learn to cook Italian? Angelo is an artisan sausage maker, wine expert and farmer and shares his passions through a variety of workshops. Angelo Bean has classes from everything from pasta making to sausage making, salumi tasting workshops and even has a 5-course tasting menu workshop. Prices for the cooking classes range from $58-117. 4. Catch a Movie at an Old School Drive-in Theatre
Step into the 1950’s at the County’s own drive-in movie theatre, Mustang Drive-in. Watch a first-run movie from the comfort of your car, or bring some lawn chairs and watch al fresco.
